4th Senior Staff Meeting
March 11 - 13, 2007

Hosted by National Taiwan University, the 4th Senior Staff Meeting in Chinese Taipei commenced with a Welcome Reception at Taipei 101 on March 11, followed by a one-day business meeting on March 12. Senior Staff discussed and reviewed issues pertaining to APRU's direction and review of activities. Professor Lee Si-Chen, President of the host university hosted a Welcome Banquet on March 12 for participants of the meeting. The meeting drew a total of 44 participants from 29 APRU member universities.
An APRU Forum on "Benchmarking Asia Pacific Universities in the Global Era: Competition and Collaboration" was held at the GIS Convention Center on March 13. In addition to APRU members, members of the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) were also invited to the Forum. Personalities such as APRU Chair Professor Gavin Brown AO FAA, FICHET Chair Professor Lee Si-Chen and President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Professor Lee Doo-Hee, gave keynote speeches at the Forum.
