5th Senior Staff Meeting
March 12 - 14, 2008
 


A fruitful meeting at Seoul National University's Gwanak campus.

APRU's 5th Senior Staff Meeting was hosted by Seoul National University from March 12-14, 2008.  Highlights of the meeting include a half-day Education Forum and Breakout Discussion amongst Senior Staff examining the theme, "Internationalization of Higher Education: University Management, Research Collaboration and Outreach".  The day concluded with an ALOUD Forum where Senior Staff exchanged information on current or future innovative projects and developments in their universities.

The meeting drew a total of 54 participants from 31 APRU member universities. Ambassador Soo-Taek Rhee, President of the National Institute for International Education Development (NIIED) was the keynote speaker for the APRU Forum on March 13.  He spoke on Korea's experiences and the role of NIIED in the internationalization of higher education.
