APRU Undergraduate Summer Program 2008

 

Fudan University hosted the 3rd Undergraduate Summer Program on "Economy and Culture of a Modern China" from July 7-18, 2008 in Shanghai. Member universities were encouraged to send up to two undergraduates who were economics majors or had a background in economies, and who are interested in China's economic landscape and culture, to participate.

 

41 undergraduates from 21 member universities participated in the program, which featured a variety of activities conducted outside the classroom such as martial arts, Beijing opera appreciation lessons and trips to cultural venues such as the Shanghai Museum and Jade Temple. Participants also had the opportunity to go on a weekend field trip to Hangzhou, organized in conjunction with Zhejiang University.
