CAS-TWAS President's Fellowship Programme for Doctoral Candidates

2017 Call for Applications 

Call for eligible APRU students/ scholars to apply for Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) scholarship

The CAS-TWAS President’s Fellow Program for Doctoral Candidates offers up to 200 students/ scholars (Non-Chinese citizens) from all over the world the opportunity to apply for sponsorship to study in China for a doctoral degree for up to 4 years.

The scholarship will provide funding for travel to and from the home country to China, visa fees, tuition and application fees as well as monthly stipend for candidates that have passed the relevant qualification test.

General conditions for applicants are to:

- be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2017;
- not take up other assignments during the period of his/her fellowship;
- not hold Chinese citizenship;

Prior to application submission, eligible candidates need to find a supervisor who agrees to be academic supervisor and approves the scholarship application. See here for information of supervisors. 

NUS Enterprise Summer Programme 2017

Call for eligible APRU students/ scholars to apply for NUS Enterprise Summer Programme 2017, Deadline: March 31st

Gain invaluable insights into Singapore's transformation from third world to first and our business landscape today through the NUS Enterprise Summer Programme.

Programme Details:

The NUS Enterprise Summer Programme is targeted at undergraduate students currently enrolled in university, majoring in any discipline, with a keen interest in entrepreneurship.

Lectures will be conducted in English by faculty members from NUS, as well as government officials, business leaders and professionals.

Vancouver Summer Program (VSP)

The Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) is a 4-week academic program offered by UBC for students from cooperating universities to study at the Vancouver campus.  UBC (The University of British Columbia) is a world-renowned institution consistently ranked among the top 40 research universities in the world. This program provides the opportunity for students to take 2 academic courses in various UBC Faculties, while being exposed to Canadian practices and culture.

English proficiency test scores are not required. However, students should be proficient in English and have a strong academic background. They should also meet their university’s system of application and eligibility requirements (if any) for studying abroad and possess the personal maturity to undertake an international experience.  If possible, we would be grateful if universities could help screen students for their suitability to take the VSP. Academic credits for the courses may be granted by the students’ home university at its discretion. Students will join participants from other universities to study the same package.  To apply, students are required to fill in the application form, which is enclosed with this message, and return it to us.

In 2017 the VSP will be run in two different sessions:

VSP Period: JUNE 4, 2017 – JULY 4, 2017
Registration Deadline: February 28th, 2017
Course Packages offered: 16 different packages in the areas of Applied Science, Architecture, Arts, Business, Education, Forestry and Medicine

VSP Period: JULY 15, 2017 – AUGUST 15, 2017
Registration Deadline: March 31st, 2017
Course Packages offered: 54 different packages in the areas of Applied Science, Architecture, Arts, Business, Dentistry, Education, Forestry, Kinesiology, Land and Food Systems, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Science, Earth and Ocean Science and Integrated Science.

5th Annual IPSA-NUS Summer School for Social Science Research Methods
4 - 15 July 2016

The Methods School offers a wide variety of basic to advanced courses in quantitative, qualitative, and formal methods. All of these courses focus on both the theory and practice of social science research and provide high-quality training in diverse, state-of-the-art methods and techniques by outstanding and highly experienced international faculty.
