Founded in 2010 by like-minded individuals with a passion for Shipping, the Young Professionals In Shipping Network (YPSN) has grown from an informal social gathering of friends and colleagues into an incorporated non-profit association, holding events attracting over 200 attendees. The network has over 900 members from a wide range of reputable companies and institutions in Hong Kong.

YPSN’s The Captain’s Table is a global innovation competition for the maritime and logistics industry. In 2022, The Captain’s Table invited the APRU to join as an ecosystem partner recognising its extensive network and collaborative platform. Members & alumni who are working in, or with startups are invited to submit their unique solutions for tackling problems the maritime and logistics industry faces, in areas such as decarbonisation, sustainability, digitalisation and people.
