APRU Open Dialogues Pilot

Led by Tecnológico de Monterrey, the APRU Open Dialogues Pilot aims to develop a collaborative model for promoting sustained dialogues among the consortium universities, to create empathy and awareness on current shared topics, as well as develop leadership skills.

Program characteristics / Characteristics of the pilot:

  • For a unique time, and due to the nature of the program, this October 2023 pilot program will be delivered in Spanish. All APRU Spanish-speaking students are welcome. We will announce soon for 2024 the first program in English.
  • Tecnológico de Monterrey will be in charge of leading this workshop, collaborating closely with APRU and a number of selected APRU members.
  • The main target group of this pilot will be undergraduate students.
  • Each participating university is encouraged to recruit up to 10 students.

Theme:

  • Gender-Based Violence Prevention in learning environments.
(Prevención de violencia de género en los espacios de desarrollo)

Participants

We invite each participating university to nominate up to 10 undergraduate students to be part of this pilot.

Expected outcomes

  • Create an immediate and lasting impact on student communities.
  • Connect students and their communities across borders to share their cultures and identities.
  • Raise awareness of diversity and inclusion issues.
  • Collect logistics information and insights to assess the pertinence of building a larger-scale Sustained Dialogues consortium program.
