Dates: November 2 – 4, 2025
Venue: CREATE, NUS U Town, Singapore
Theme: Innovating Food Security and Agritech Solutions across the Pacific Rim
The APRU Food Security and Agritech Program addresses pressing challenges related to climate change and food security across the Asia-Pacific region. Co-hosted by Simon Fraser University (SFU), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the National University of Singapore (NUS), the initiative fosters collaboration among APRU member universities and stakeholders.
Partner institutions – National Taiwan University, UC Davis, Seoul National University, and The University of Adelaide – have joined a dedicated working group to drive program development and pilot initiatives.
Our goal is to establish a research and innovation hub to respond to agricultural and food security needs across the region. Focus areas include:
- AI, IoT, robotics, alternative proteins, and other agritech solutions
- Climate resilience, resource efficiency, and food systems transformation
- Regenerative agriculture, sustainable food, and equitable development
The NTU and NUS are leading the 1st APRU Food Security and Agritech Symposium 2025, which aims to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and support the development of translational research to benefit the Pacific Rim.
