Speaker: Dr. Florian Lefebvre, associate researcher at University Rouen Normandie and University Paris Saclay.

Topic: Esports curriculum development process inside British Universities – Implications for Vietnamese Universities based on the analysis of the environmental scanning stage.

In recent years, there has been an increasing interest towards the integration of esports initiatives inside universities. Research has investigated which types of esports curricula have been developed within those institutions around the world. However, uncertainty still exists about how universities in countries where esports curricula are missing can learn from the experience of universities based in countries where esports curricula are more established. Based on Khan and Law’(2015) first stage of an integrative approach to curriculum development, this research aspires to fill this gap by querying how Vietnamese universities could learn from the experience of British universities that are already committed in esports to create the conditions for the development of their own dedicated esports curriculum.

Moderator: Professor Patrick Williams, Associate Professor, School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
