Empowering Future Climate Leaders
The Asia-Pacific is uniquely positioned to lead global climate action. As a dynamic region driving innovation, policy, and economic growth, it has the opportunity to shape sustainable, resilient futures in the face of evolving climate challenges. This requires a new generation of leaders equipped with systems thinking, cross-cultural collaboration skills, and the ability to navigate complex climate decisions with equity and impact at the forefront.

Our Work
APRU empowers future leaders through its Certificate in Global Climate Change Leadership, connecting students with global experts to tackle real-world challenges and develop the skills to advance equitable, impactful climate solutions across the region.

The APRU Certificate in Global Climate Change Leadership is a role-playing exercise in which students will form multi-country, multi-disciplinary teams to play the role of delegates to the UN Climate Change Negotiations.

This program is co-organized by APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Program housed at the University of Oregon and APRU Global Health Program housed at the University of Southern California.
