As the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 highlights the importance of both natural and man-made hazards, the Campus Safety Workshop 2020 will focus on a wider scope of disaster risk reduction especially the man-made hazards on chemical/industrial, nuclear and radiological, and transport.
- Understand the natural and man-made disasters and their similarities and differences (particularly in preparation and response)
- Learn how to conduct a comprehensive disaster risk assessment using an all-hazards approach in universities
- Discuss how to prepare for and respond to these disasters within universities
