Led by
5th Cohort APWiL Mentoring Program Call!

We invite APRU member institutions to join us for the APWiL Mentoring Program’s 5th Cohort, which runs from November 2024-October 2025!

The APWiL Mentoring Program has served over 300 mentors and mentees since the pilot program in 2020. We are pleased to be working with a large and diverse 4th Cohort of 84 participants from 27 institutions. Through the Mentoring Program, we are able to focus on addressing gender imbalances as well as the work that is being done by APRU members. The program provides international and intercultural opportunities for the empowerment, professional growth, and development of our mentees and mentors.

For the upcoming 2024-2025 5th Cohort, the year-long program activities and commitments include:

  • Working in a customized one-on-one mentoring relationship to identify professional development goals, learn about successful strategies used by APRU senior leaders, and develop a personal assessment and goals for future leadership. Mentor-mentee pairs are expected to meet at least bi-monthly (six times over the course of the program) to discuss mentee goals and growth.
  • Virtual workshops which offer resource sharing, professional training, and international exchange to increase the awareness of challenges that aspiring women leaders face within the region and to introduce global and intercultural dimensions of women leadership to leaders across the APRU network and beyond.
  • Informal networking opportunities to connect senior leaders at APRU institutions with emerging women leaders to create an effective network.
  • In-person summit (tentative) to celebrate a strong cohort of women leaders. As the APWiL Mentoring Program cannot support individual participants’ travel to this event, institutions are strongly encouraged to support the travel of their participants.

We hope that you will commit your institution to participate in the 5th Cohort in 2024-2025.
